Covid & Visa Travel Considerations for Antigua & Barbados

Travel requirements for entering Antigua 

All arriving passengers by air must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR (real time polymerase chain reaction) test for SARS-CoV-2 using a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab taken within seven days of their flight. (This includes transiting passengers). Children below the age of 5 years, entering Antigua, DO NOT REQUIRE a COVID -19 RT-PCR test.

What forms do I need to complete?

Presently, all arriving passengers or the head of a family will need to complete a health declaration form issued on your flight, to be shared with Port Health Authorities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR AMERICANS

United States nationals require a valid passport. A visa is not required for a period of 180 days, with extension of stay possible.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR UK NATIONALS

UK nationals require a valid passport. A visa is not required - the duration of permitted stay will be determined by immigration on arrival.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR CANADA

Canadians require a valid passport. A visa is not required for nationals of Canada for a maximum of 180 days with the possibility of an extension of stay.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR AUSTRALIANS

Australians require a valid passport. A visa is not required for nationals of Australia for a period of 180 days with the possibility of an extension of stay.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR SOUTH AFRICANS

South African nationals must hold a valid passport. A visa is not required for nationals of South Africa for a period of 180 days with the possibility of an extension.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW ZEALANDERS

New Zealand nationals require a valid passport. A visa is not needed for a period of 180 days with the possibility of an extension of stay.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR IRISH NATIONALS

Irish nationals require a valid passport. A visa is not necessary for 180 days with the possibility of an extension of stay.

PASSPORT/VISA NOTE

All nationalities must hold confirmed onward or return tickets and sufficient funds to cover their period of intended stay. Visas are generally not required for stays less than 180 days. Extensions are possible on visas. Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required for those arriving from risk areas.

ALERT - COVID-19 Updates

With effect 8th May 2021 fully vaccinated travelers to Barbados who provide a vaccination certificate that shows they have had either the AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson and Johnson vaccines will quarantine for one or two days at an approved accommodation. Vaccinated individuals will still have to provide proof of a negative PCR test result taken three days before they travel and must take a second PCR test upon arrival.
